Where to shoot a pre-wedding in Bangalore

Bangalore gives you more range than most Indian cities within an hour's drive. Lalbagh and Cubbon Park early on a weekday morning are quiet and green before the crowds arrive. Nandi Hills at sunrise gives you cloud below the horizon if you are willing to leave the city at four in the morning. The older streets around Malleswaram and Basavanagudi suit couples who want something with texture and daily life in the frame rather than manicured lawns. Further out, Ramanagara's rock faces and the lakes towards Hesaraghatta open up wide, cinematic landscapes. If you would rather shoot indoors or at home, that works too — some of the most honest sessions we have photographed happened in a family living room.

What actually happens on the day

Most couples arrive convinced they will be terrible at this. That is the normal starting point and it is not a problem. We do not hand you a list of poses. We give you something to do — walk this way, talk to each other, ignore me for a minute — and photograph what happens in between the instructions. The first twenty minutes are usually stiff for everyone. After that people forget the camera is there, and that is when the frames worth keeping start appearing. A session typically runs two to three hours across one or two locations, timed around golden hour at either end of the day.

Why couples book a pre-wedding shoot

Beyond the photographs themselves, a pre-wedding session is the best possible rehearsal for the wedding day. You learn how you look in front of a camera, we learn how you two actually are with each other, and by the time the wedding arrives nobody is a stranger. Practically, the images give you something for save-the-date cards, invitations, a reception slideshow and your own social media — all well before the wedding gallery is delivered. If you are booking a full wedding package with us, a pre-wedding session is worth planning three to four months ahead of the date.

Planning and permissions

A few Bangalore locations need permission or a fee for professional shoots, and popular spots get genuinely crowded at weekends. We will tell you honestly which of your shortlist is realistic on the date you have in mind and which will mean sharing the frame with fifty other people. Weather matters too: shooting between October and February gives you the softest light and the least risk of an afternoon washout. Bring a change of outfit if you want variety, comfortable shoes for the walking, and nothing else.
